Welcome to Smart Electrical

Mark and Cathy Bailey started Bailey Electrical Contractors in 1991. Over those first years we kept up with the latest developments in home wiring, culminating when we won a NECA Award of Excellence in June 2000 for a Smartwired house in Sylvania.

In January 2003 we changed our name to Smart Electrical Contractors and spent most of the year winding back the standard light and power jobs and pursuing the Home automation / Smart wiring market, which leads us to where we are today.

Keeping the business to a manageable size, we are able to offer the complete package of home wiring and still keep that personal touch.

With over 25 years experience in dealing with home owners electrical requirements, there isn't much we haven't encountered and will have plenty of suggestions.

Being a NECA member (National Electrical and Communications Association) ensures that we are constantly being updated with the latest technologies.

What is Smart Wiring

The complete package includes getting power on to the house, all standard light and power requirements, smart wiring as little or as much as you like and the all important security system.

Smart Electrical Contractors also means smart ideas to add to your home, for example:

  • Underground power (in any circumstance) to hide those ugly overhead cables.
  • A switched exterior outlet for those once a year christmas lights.
  • An internal circuit breaker sub-board.
  • Emergency battery backup lights for when the power goes out.
  • TV's on pivotal arms to gain space and keep your room options open.
  • Automatic gates and door entries.
  • Under tile heating in bathrooms.
  • Water saving devices.
  • ...the list goes on!

Smart Wiring can include:

Free to air TV, Pay TV, Satellite TV, Video and DVD distribution to every room.
Home phone, business phone, fax, internet distribution to every room.
Computer points to every room, networked back to one printer.
Each computer can be on the next, but be using the one internet connection.
Stereo with remote control or wall volume controllers to every room.
Security system with closed circuit TV.
Programmable home automation -- allowing for the house to operate as per usual if away, touch switching, ramp-up ramp-dawn facilities, scene watching ...
Garden water systems.
Automatic heating and cooling.
